Série Serres/Greenhouses:
In the most recent series Displacements and Greenhouses , I concentrate on possible relationships between greenhouse structures, atriums, other contemporary constructions and public spaces. As I experience those spaces and the subsequent diptych produced, I am both amazed and disturbed by their beauty, their complexity and their sense of infinity. The diptychs of stereo images is a pretext to suggest the extrapolation of the fields of vision, as if there were no end to the space represented.
The greenhouses and other architectural structures/spaces I photograph transcend their first function to become a more global statement on artificiality and control in the context of "supermodernity" as expressed, for example, by Anthony Vidler. 1
